‘Intintiki Indiramma’ to be launched on September 1

MACHILIPATNAM: The 60th Independence Day was celebrated on a grand scale at the Collectorate here on Wednesday. Municipal Administration Minister Koneru Ranga Rao hoisted the national flag and received the guard of honour.
Stating that the government was according top priority to the farm sector, Mr. Rao said Rs. 1,192 crores had been distributed as farm loans during 2006-07 and a target of Rs. 1,276 crores had been fixed for the current financial year.
Announcing the schedule of welfare programmes to be launched in the district, Mr. Rao said that ‘Intintiki Indiramma’ would be launched on September 1, while ‘Indiramma Sambaralu’ would be launched on September 20 and ‘Indiramma Gruhapravesams’ from October 2. He presented certificates to employees who excelled in their duties.
Krishna District Collector Navin Mittal, Sessions Judge S. Ravi Kumar, Joint Collector S. Suresh Kumar, Superintendent of Police Murugesh Kumar Singh, Zilla Parishad Chairman K. Nageswara Rao, MLA B. Vedavyas and others were present.
