BHUBANESWAR: Orissa Television Limited (OTV), a private infotainment channel, here on Wednesday said it would foray into production of films, which would primarily cater to its need. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, OTV Director B.P Rath said they had roped in a film production house to shoot its first movie, ‘Agnisikha’ which would hit the screen during Dushera festival. "Keeping in view of demand for Oriya movies, OTV has now taken a major step and ventured into production of commercial movies on video format for small screen. This sort of film shall not only add glamour to channel, but also provide opportunities to the cine artistes and technicians of the State," he said. Mr. Rath said from now on the company would produce about 12 films in a year. Agnisikha would be a family drama.
