Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Electricity Workers Federation has asked the authorities not to ignore the role played by the staff in the growth and development of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB). In a statement here on Wednesday, organisation general secretary A. Sukumara Pillai said they had played a crucial role, particularly in the progress of the generation and transmission sector. He asked the authorities to recognise the role of the employees by suitably rewarding them during the current year, which was the golden jubilee year of the KSEB. He also wanted one month’s salary to be paid as Onam festival allowance. — Special Correspondent
