TIRUPUR: Residents of KVR Nagar and Jeeva Colony on Tuesday staged a demonstration in front of the municipal office here demanding basic amenities to their area.
Led by CPI (M) functionary Viswanathan the residents urged the local body to open the public toilet which had not been thrown
open for the public since its construction three years ago.
The protesters asked the authorities to provide more public taps at Jeeva Colony as there were no household water supply connections for the 700-odd families there.
They also wanted a concrete wall constructed along the water course there.
