Bank donation for temple renovation

KARUR: The Indian Overseas Bank has donated Rs.50,000 towards renovation of the centuries-old Sri Ugra Nrsimha Perumal temple at Devarmalai in Karur district.

Senior bank officials handed over a cheque for the amount to trustees of the Sri Nrsimha Swamy Bhakta Sabha Trust at a brief ceremony here recently.

Collector T.N. Venkatesh, Lead District Manager K. Chandrasekaran were among those present.

The trustees and devotees thanked the bank for the gesture.
