Suvidhaa initiative to revolutionise service industry

Staff Correspondent

Draws up three-year roadmap

To set up 10,000 Suvidhaa points

MUMBAI: Suvidhaa Infoserve, a new initiative backed by the Shapoorji Pallonji group, plans to provide Indian consumers every important consumer service on a single platform.

Paresh Rajde, Managing Director, Suvidhaa Infoserve, said in a release that “we describe this stream of business as S-commerce and this will roll out through a new venture called Suvidhaa Infoserve Pvt. Ltd. I believe S-commerce has immense potential for consumers and service providers alike and will work wonders for our nation.”

This initiative intends to allow customers to avail themselves of any service across any sector at single-window access points in a unique click-and-mortar set-up. The company will launch its services on a franchisee model for consumers by September across 20 cities to start with and aims to have a pan-India presence across at least 50 cities by the second year and 75 cities by the third year.

The three-year roadmap of the Suvidhaa Distribution network will set up 10,000 Suvidhaa points by the end of the first year and one lakh by the third year.

Similarly, Suvidhaa Flagship stores will go from 500 to 3,000 in the third year, while Key Corporate Accounts will rise from 2,000 to 25,000 by the third year.

Also, by the end of the third year of operations, the company expects to provide direct employment to around three lakh people.

The services offered will relate to travel, utilities, telecom, entertainment, finance, education, telemedicine, e-governance, lifestyle and payment collection along with a host of others.

According to Mr. Rajde, “we will have a three-tier network with Suvidhaa Flagship Stores as Tier-1. These will be stores of up to 500 sq. ft. Next will be Suvidhaa Points — on a shop-in-shop model in shops and neighbourhood convenience stores, and the third tier of our distribution network will be Key Corporate Accounts for companies and their employees on a shop-in-corporate model. Each outlet will cover 2,500 families.
