Minor fire in Tirumala

TIRUMALA: There was a minor fire mishap in the TTD’s Nityannadanam canteen kitchen on Thursday night at Tirumala. There were, however, no injuries to anyone nor any loss of property.

The fire broke out when hot ‘boondi’ taken off the smouldering cauldron was dumped into dry bamboo baskets. The fire was immediately brought under control by the kitchen staff even as fire tenders reached the spot to meet any exigencies. TTD Board Chairman B.Karunakar Reddy who was present at the temple at the time of the incident, visited the spot.
