He will stay overnight at Kannalli and Dongaon villages Foundation to be laid for wholesale vegetable market at Taj Sultanpur
GULBARGA: During his three-day visit to Gulbarga district that starts on August 20, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy will stay overnight at Kannalli village in Surpur taluk and Dongaon village in Chitapur taluk. He will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various development projects at Surpur, Chitapur, Jewargi, Sedam, and Gulbarga city. Agricultural Marketing Minister and district in-charge Sharanabasappa Darshanapur told presspersons here on Thursday that as part of his “grama vastavya” programme, the Chief Minister would stay at Kannalli village on August 20 and Dongaon village on August 21. Mr. Kumaraswamy would reach Hunasigi in Surpur taluk at 3 p.m. on August 20, and participate in the inauguration of development projects in Surpur taluk. He would then proceed to Kannali village where he will conduct “Janata Darshan” programme and stay overnight, Mr. Darshanapur said. On August 21, the Chief Minister would leave for Konasirasagi village in Jewargi before a brief halt at Surpur town to receive representations from the public. At Konasirasagi village, Mr. Kumaraswamy would visit a mutt, meet the public and spend one hour in the village before leaving for Aland town by helicopter. There, he would inaugurate a 50-bed hospital. After participating in the inauguration of the hospital at Aland town, Mr. Kumaraswamy would leave for Gulbarga City, where he would lay foundation stone for a wholesale vegetable and fruit market at Taj Sultanpur in the outskirts of the city. Mr. Darshanapur said that the Chief Minister would later would fly to Sedam town to participate in a public meeting before leaving by road to Dongoan village in Chitapur taluk for a night’s stay. In Dongaon village, the Chief Minister is expected to conduct his “Janata Darshan” programme. On August 22, Mr. Kumaraswamy would leave for Chitapur town by road from Dongaon village. He would inaugurate development projects and unveil the statue of B.R. Ambedkar. He would also lay foundation stone for a 100-bed hospital at Chitapur, a Primary Health Centre at Diggoan, and a ring road and railway level crossing at Diggaon. The Chief Minister would also lay foundation stones for the 110 kV and 33 kV power stations in Chitapur and for a bridge across the Kagina at Bhagodi.
