Man held on burglary charges

CHENNAI: Police have arrested a 26-year-old man on charges of burglary and recovered allegedly stolen properties from him.

According to a press release, Virugambakkam police arrested S.Raja (26) of East Street Azhagiri Nagar, Vadapalani. After interrogating him, they recovered a television set, a two-wheeler and other valuables worth about Rs 50,000 which he had allegedly stolen from a locked house belonging to Jaya of Kaliamman Koil Street Illango Nagar. After registering a case, the accused was produced before a city court, which remanded him to judicial custody. A police officer said that the accused would be taken for further interrogation since his finger prints matched with other crimes.
