Allowance of Rs. 2,500 sought for unemployed 80 per cent of jobs should be filled with locals
KADAPA: All India Youth Federation functionaries will undertake an 8,000 km cycle jatha covering 10,000 villages in the State from September 10 to 28 demanding inclusion of right to education, medicare and employment in the list of fundamental rights. Unemployment allowance of Rs. 2,500 per month must be granted to jobless youth who registered themselves in employment exchanges, 80 per cent of jobs should be filled with locals, 2.70 lakh vacant posts and SC, ST and BC backlog posts should be filled, AIYF State Secretary G. Easwaraiah demanded at a press conference on Thursday. Distribution of surplus lands among rural jobless youth and grant of interest-free loans to them and free education for women up to post-graduate level were among other demands. The cycle jathas would culminate at Hyderabad on September 28 and a memorandum containing 50 lakh signatures would be submitted to Chief Minister, Mr. Easwaraiah stated.
