CHANDIGARH: Embarrassed by public bickering among Punjab’s ruling coalition partners Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP on the issue of election of Mayors to four Municipal Corporations, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Thursday asked leaders of the two parties to desist from going to the media on the matter. “I have directed the Akali Dal activists and leaders not to open their mouths on the election of Mayors to the MCs,” Mr. Badal told reporters here. He also urged the BJP activists and leaders not to indulge in polemics on the issue. – PTI
