MP threatens to launch party

KURNOOL: Congress MP Kotla Jayasuryaprakasa Reddy has said an exclusive party to protect the interests of Rayalaseema region will become inevitable if the region continues to be a victim of neglect.

Addressing the third anniversary function of Rayalaseema Hakkula Ikya Vedika under the stewardship of former MLA T. G. Venkatesh here on Thursday, the MP said the leaders at the helm should decide whether the sentiments of Rayalaseema people should be honoured or the region should be allowed to start a party. He said the organisation would sponsor a bandh in October for achieving the 19 demands listed at the meeting.
