Isolated rain in Tamil Nadu CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at many places over coastal Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh and dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep. Lalgudi (Tiruchirapalli dt.) recorded a heavy rainfall of 7 Centimetres. The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres are: Madurai 6, Shirali 4, Mettupatti (Madurai dt.), Chettikulam (Perambalur dt.) and Bhatkal (Uttara Kannada dt.) 3 each, Sholavandan (Madurai dt.), Vembavur (Perambalur dt.) and Honavar 2 each and Thirukattupalli (Thanjavur dt.), Mani (Dakshina Kannada dt.), Kota (Udupi dt.), Ankola and Kiravatti (both Uttara Kannada dt.), Kakkeri (Gulburga dt.) 1 each. WEATHER FORECAST (valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places over coastal Karnataka and at a few places over south interior Karnataka and Kerala. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely over Ta mil Nadu, Puducherry, North interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and Andhra Pradesh.
