Steps to check spurious liquor

Kozhikode: Officials of the departments of excise, police, forest and revenue will jointly take measures to check the brewing and distribution of spurious liquor in the district during the Onam festival.

A meeting of officials held at the District Collectorate here on Thursday also decided to seek the cooperation of the public to check the menace. Additional District Magistrate T. Bhaskaran presided over the meeting. Kozhikode Rural Superintendent of Police Ramdas Pothan, Excise Assistant Commissioner C. Selvaraj and Divisional Forest Officer V.K. Sreevalsan took part in the meeting.
