Key accused surrenders

AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat CID (Crime) investigating the alleged Sohrabuddin fake encounter case has finally succeeded in netting a key accused — Deputy Superintendent of Police Narendra Amin. Dr. Amin, who was then with the CID (Crime) and is now posted in Vadodara rural, surrendered before sessions court judge P. B. Bhatt here on Thursday evening. The Supreme Court cancelled his anticipatory bail on August 13. He is said to have arranged the bungalows on the outskirts of Gandhinagar for lodging Sohrabuddin and his wife Kauserbi before the alleged encounter in November 2005.
