Seven killed in Uttarakhand landslips

DEHRA DUN: Landslips left seven people dead, washed away crops in many areas, cut off several houses in low-lying areas of Dehra Dun, Hardwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts of Uttarakhand and continued to block the Yamunotri and Badrinath highways, the State Disaster Management and Mitigation Centre said on Thursday.

Four persons were killed and an equal number injured while sleeping as landslips demolished their houses at Basan village in Yamkeshwar block of Pauri Garhwal district.
