Competitions for schoolchildren

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Bank of Travancore is organising elocution and essay writing competitions in Hindi for Plus One and Plus Two students in connection with the Hindi Day celebrations on September 8. Schools in the city can nominate two students each for the competitions. Winners of the first three places will receive certificates and cash prizes of Rs.1,000, Rs.750 and Rs.500 respectively.

The nominations should reach the Chief Manager, Official Languages Department, State Bank of Travancore, Thiruvananthapuram- 695 012, on or before September 5. Details can be had from the head office of the bank at 0471-2352049, 2351244 (Extn:2238).
