Admission dates for minority engineering colleges soon

HYDERABAD: The Minority college managements are meeting on Friday to finalise the dates and venue for the admissions into engineering courses this year. Hanif Abid, correspondent of Royal College of Engineering and member of the minority colleges group formed for the single window-II admissions, attributed the delay to their inability to find a suitable place for counselling. Last year, counselling was held in the Institute of Engineers in Khairatabad but the hall is now booked till September.

Single window

Dr. Abid said that nearly 60 minority colleges including 18 Muslim, 20 Christian, one Sikh and one Linguistic minority college are likely to participate in the counselling.

With the Supreme Court making it clear that admissions in all minority institutions be conducted through a single window, all the colleges under the Shadan Group are also likely to join this group.
