Ramachandra Rao dead

MANGALORE: Mattu Adhikari Ramachandra Rao (87), former Principal of Government Colleges in Mangalore, Madikeri and Tumkur, passed away after a brief illness here on Thursday.

Known for his discipline and integrity, Mr. Rao had taken initiatives to introduce BBM course in St. Aloysius College and have the centenary building of the Government College in Mangalore.

He was the president of Abhayashrama at Konaje.

Popular

His book on physics was a very popular book of reference among the students and saw more than 25 reprints. He is survived by his wife and eight daughters.
