BANGALORE: Anup Sridhar’s exploits in the World badminton championships at Kuala Lumpur was greeted with joy by his mentors Prakash Padukone and U. Vimal Kumar at their Tata Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy here. Prakash said, “Anup was always up there, stretching top players and coming close to beating them. But this time, he has actually gone ahead and done that and this is bound to boost his confidence,” he said. Vimal Kumar said, “It has been a heartening show. Anup has been playing with tremendous confidence. Both the wins have been achieved under a lot of pressure.” — Special Correspondent
