MAHABUBNAGAR: Forum for Commerce Lecturers (FOCOL) Mahabubnagar, awards the topper of the district in B.Com university examination every year with a gold medal. This year too gold medal to the student who obtained highest marks in I year Financial Accounting I paper, II year Financial Accounting II paper and III year Corporate Accounting paper together in aggregate is being awarded, according to Prof. K. V. Achalapathi Dean Faculty of Commerce Osmania University and Advisor, Focol, Mahabubnagar. He said in a press release that all the 30 Colleges offering B.Com in the district of Mahabubnagar were informed through a letter dated 24-07-2007 to send the names of candidates who topped their college in B.Com. University exam held during 2007. They were asked to give information on or before 06-08-2007. Responses
Prof. Achalapathi informed that only 3 colleges reported till today and they are Adarsha Degree College Mahabubnagar, Swamy Vivekanada Degree College Mahabubnagar and NTR Degree College for Women Mahabubnagar. Among the responses, he said that it is found that one student from Swamy Vivekananda Dgree College, Mahabubnagar Scored 70.6% marks in B.Com(Computers) examination and also scored the highest in Accounting papers. He said in this context, FOCOL requests all the students of B.Com from the district of Mahabubnagar to report immediately either in person or by post in case they scored more than 70.6% in first attempt (without improvement). Prof. Achalapathi said in case we do not get any objections by August 20 the candidate from Swamy Vivekananda Degree College, Mahabubnagar Ms. A.Radhika Rani will be awarded as topper of the district both for overall aggregate (71%) as well as topper in Accounting papers(77%).
