No shortage of coins

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has reassured the public that there need be no concern about adequate availability of coins anywhere in the State. At a press conference here on Friday, general manager (officer-in-charge) of RBI’s Thiruvananthapuram regional office Parvathy Sundaram said that the bank was making this reassurance in the light of complaints from some parts of the country that coins of certain denominations were in short supply.If any people experienced difficulty in getting sufficient coins for their use, they could contact the RBI’s regional office over telephone (0471-2335724 and 2329676). — Special Correspondent
