Cricket tourney on August 20, 21

Kakinada: The Chiranjeevi trophy South India disabled cricket championship will be held at Vijayanand cricket grounds in Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad.
The event will mark the birthday celebrations of mega star Chiranjeevi on August 20 and 21, according to P. Rukmakara Rao, founder and general secretary of the Chiranjeevi Sports Foundation.
Teams from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Goa will participate.
Best cricketers in the tourney would be included in the Indian team that would participate in the international championship to be held in Pakistan from January 6.
He said cash incentives – Rs.20,000 for first prize and Rs.10,000 for second prize – would be awarded .
Mr. Rao said that the foundation would soon start a sports school in Kakinada at a cost of Rs.1 crore.
