NEW DELHI: The India Japan Business Leaders Forum, comprising CEOs of top companies from both sides, will be launched during Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s visit to the country next week. M. S. Asahi of Mitsubishi, K. Furukawa of Hitachi, N. Ohashi of Mitsui and H. Yonekura of Sumitomo, besides ten others, have been included in the high-level business forum from the Japanese side. Indian businessmen on the forum would include Baba Kalyani of Bharat Forge, Sunil Kant Munjal of Hero Honda, Nandan Nilekani of Infosys, Vikram Kirloskar of Toyota Kirloskar and Deepak Parekh of HDFC. “The selection of business leaders from the two sides has been done keeping in mind the $90 billion Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC),” an official said. The DMIC project, which will be partly funded by the Japanese, was approved by the Union Cabinet on Thursday. — PTI
