Doctor arrives in Bangalore

BANGALORE: Mohammed Asif Ali, a doctor, who was interrogated by the Australian police in connection with the failed terror plot in Glasgow, arrived here on Friday night on the way to his home town, Mysore.

Dr. Ali left Australia after the police there returned his passport, which they had confiscated last month as they investigated links between him and former terror suspect Mohammed Haneef.

On landing here, he was whisked away by the Central Industrial Security Force, which provides security to the airport. He is believed to have been sent to Mysore. His family members and friends received him at the airport. — Staff Reporter
