Kozhikode: The last round of on-campus on-line central counselling for the seats which remained vacant after second round of counselling in NITs and other participating institutes will be conducted by the Central Counselling Board (CCB). It will be held at 16 counselling centres, including NIT-Calicut, at the zone level instead of institutional level. The counselling will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 20. The candidates who were declared eligible for central counselling and have not been admitted in any institution through central counselling or who have withdrawn at any stage of counselling or who could not participate in central counselling or who were allotted a seat but could not join the institute, shall be eligible to participate in the counselling scheduled on August 20. The candidates who have already been allotted seats and joined the institute will not be eligible to participate in the last round of central counselling. The last round of CCB counselling will be conducted on a zone basis. There are four zones and the States of Kerala, Lakshadweep, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andhra Pradesh comprise the South Zone. Candidates from any of these States, based on their respective categories, are eligible to claim any vacant seat in the participating institutions reserved for South zone. The seat allotment by CCB will be done on the basis of AIEEE rank. For more information log on to : www.ccb.nic.in.
