Complainant in case against Yuvraj held
Gurgaon: Neelam Mahajan, who had filed an assault case against cricketer Yuvraj Singh and his mother, was arrested on Saturday for contempt of court.
Judicial Magistrate Ranjana Agrawal ordered a police official to take her into custody as she passed “contemptuous remarks” against the court’s order of adjourning the matter for November 20.
Ms. Mahajan was reportedly annoyed over the repeated adjournments in the case. She told the magistrate that she would be taking up the issue with the Punjab and Haryana High Courts. The Magistrate took serious note of her conduct and ordered her arrest.
She was, however, taken to a hospital soon after her arrest as she complained of severe chest pain. — PTI
