CHENNAI: Business leaders from across the globe, including Rahul Bajaj, Chairman, Bajaj Auto, Shyamal Gupta, Chairman, Tata International, Supachai Panitchpakdi, Secretary General, UNCTAD, Donald Kaberuka, President, Africa Development Bank, Dr. Saad Al- Barrak, Group CEO, MTC, Kuwait, Cyril Ramaphosa, Chairman, MTN, South Africa, James Smith, Chairman, Shell, U.K., and Gary Hoffman, Vice-Chairman, Barclays Bank, U.K., will be addressing delegates on issues ranging from enhancing trade and investment to climate change and public-private-partnerships. Exclusive meeting with ministers, decision makers and over a hundred one-to-one meetings will lay the foundation for business transactions and ventures. The event, expected to raise over $2.5 million, will focus on East Africa and will facilitate investment into the region and the Continent. A strong delegation from India and the U.K. is expected to participate in the forum. India is expected to play a vital role, mainly, in brining technological solutions to Africa. Indian companies can also benefit from participating in the Uganda’s IT Park project with a potential for $200 million annual exports of IT and IT-related services, according to a release from the forum. The forum will be attended by trade, commerce, development and IT ministers from the Commonwealth.
