Selvadurai in lead

CHENNAI: L. Selvadurai, with two over 72, led the field on the first day in the open category of the Sportstar Golf Open being conducted at the Madras Gymkhana Golf Annexe.

Selvadurai was followed by Darshan V. and Abhinav Suresh at 74 and C.V. Yudvir further behind at 75.

Heavy overnight rains and uncut roughs made conditions tough for golfers.

Over 110 teed off on Saturday; the tournament ends on Sunday.
