Competitions to mark wildlife week
HYDERABAD: The Forest Department is organising competitions in inter-school essay-writing, elocution, painting and a wildlife quiz to mark the 53rd Vanya Prani Saptah (Wildlife Week) on September 9 at the All Saints High School. There is no entry fee.
According to an official release, the topics of essay-writing (in both English and Telugu) are ‘Wetlands of AP-Conflicts in Conservation’ (for classes VIII to X) and ‘Global warming-how to minimise it’ for juniors (classes V to VII).
For the elocution competition the topics are ‘Future of tigers in India’ (seniors) and ‘Rivers- our lifeline—how can we save them/ Do they have a future?’(juniors). The quiz is for a group of three students from classes VIII to X.
