HYDERABAD: Information and Public Relations Minister Anam Vivekananda Reddy on Sunday expressed confidence that an integrated facility would soon become a reality where prize-winning photographs could be exhibited all through the year, depending on the theme and the season. He was speaking after giving away the World Photography Day 2007 awards at Jubilee Hall here, organised by the department for the 12th year in succession. Responding to suggestions, he said Government was considering proposals to have a second location like the State Museum that could be used to exhibit photographs, vintage cars and the like. Earlier, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy inaugurated a display by the Andhra Pradesh Press Photographers Association at Ravindra Bharathi. He gave away prizes for the winning entries. The shutterbugs applauded when Mr. Reddy said from next year the prize money of Rs. 5,000, Rs. 3,000, Rs. 2,000 and Rs.1,000 for the first, second, third and consolation prizes would be doubled. He gave away prizes to the first three winners and 30 consolation prize-winners (10 each in three categories).
