HYDERABAD: The State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has invited representations from public if conditions in schools and residential colonies were not up to the standard.
Chairman B. Subhashan Reddy assured a meeting of school children here on Saturday that the commission would initiate action based on the representations.
The occasion was the launch of ‘stay free’ campaign against child abuse and sexual exploitation by Waves Foundation which is supported by Ankuram, a woman and child development society.
Justice Reddy regretted that the dropout rate in schools was increasing.
