Encroachments removed

Krishnagiri: A team of officials from the Department of Revenue and Highways accompanied by a posse of police personnel removed encroachments on Salem Road here on Monday. On instructions from Collector Santhosh Babu, a team led by Revenue Divisional Officer C. Prakasam and Assistant Director, Highways, Natarajan removed the encroachments. Revenue officials issued warning to vendors and encroachers who had built houses on Poromboke land and those who failed to respond to it were evicted.
