E-Kavi’s writing competition

Entries invited for three sections

BANGALORE: On the occasion of its Suvarna Karnataka celebrations to be held in Bangalore on September 29, the Ella Kannada Abhimanigala Antarashtriya Vedike (E-Kavi) has invited entries for its literary competitions.

Secretary of E-Kavi Abhinash Ganesh told presspersons here on Monday that competition would be held in three sections, short stories and poems, literary criticism and essay writing.

In the first section, reserved for young writers, candidates may chose one among the five themes, Kannada as a language, Kannada history, Kannada culture, Kannada and globalisation and the persons who served for the cause of Kannada, for their short stories or poems.

The literary criticism category is dedicated to the writings on the works of the novelist late Purnachandra Tejaswi by children, college students and others.

The category of essay writing on the topic “what should be done for the development of Kannada” would be open for all.
