Special trains to Madurai, Tuticorin

CHENNAI: Southern Railway will operate special trains to clear extra rush of passengers.

The Chennai –Madurai special train: No. 0616 will leave Madurai at 11.45 p.m. on August 21 and reach Egmore at 9 a.m. the next day.

No. 0615 will leave Egmore at 10.45 p.m. on August 22 and reach Madurai at 8.45 a.m. the next day. No.0616 will leave Madurai at 11.55 p.m. on August 23 and reach Egmore at 9.45 a.m. the next day.

No. 0615 will leave Egmore at 10.45 p.m. on August 26 and reach Madurai at 8.45 a.m. the next day.

They will stop at Dindigul, Tiruchi, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Tindivanam, Chengalpattu and Tambaram.

No. 0616 will stop at Mambalam too.

The Chennai–Tuticorin special train: No.0685 will leave Egmore at 10.45 p.m. on August 24 and reach Tuticorin at 12.15 p.m. the next day.

No. 0686 will leave Tuticorin at 3 p.m. on August 25 and reach Egmore at 4.30 a.m. the next day.

The trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti and Vanchi Maniyachchi. No. 0686 will stop at Mambalam also.

The composition will be one AC 2-tier, one AC 3-tier, eight sleeper class, three general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

Reservation is available, says a Southern Railway release.
