M.Phil. viva: The viva-voce of the M.Phil. Information and Library Science (2006-07 batch) examinations will be held from 10 a.m. on August 24 at the Department of Library and Information Science.

SC/ST vacancy: There are a few vacancies in the SC/ST category for the credit and semester M.Sc. courses at the departments of chemistry, physics and philosophy. Those interested should contact the respective department heads before Au gust 23 at 2418782 (chemistry), 2418920 (physics).

MA Malayalam: The internal assessment marks of the students of the second-year MA Malayalam programme of the Institute of Distance Education (IDE) have been put up at the IDE campus at Karyavattom. Any complaints about the list should be brought to the attention of the coordinator before September 15. Details can be had at 9388669837.

LL.M. Admissions: Applications have been invited for admission to the first semester of the two-year (four semesters) LL.M. degree programme (Constitutional and Administrative Law) offered by the Department of Law. Those with a recogni sed LL.B. degree who have cleared the university’s Postgraduate Entrance examination 2007 with not less than 45 per cent marks can apply. Applications can be had from the department at Karyavattom by submitting a university pay-in-slip for Rs.25 or a DD for Rs.35. The last date for submitting applications is September 12.

UIT: There are few vacancies in the SC/ST category for the degree courses at the UIT Regional Centres. Those interested should contact the head of the regional centres before August 24.

Chemistry viva: The viva-voce of the fourth semester M.Sc. polymer chemistry examination will begin at 10.30 a.m. on August 23 at St. Michael’s College, Cherthala. Students should bring their hall tickets.

Geography practical: The practical of the second semester geography examinations will be held from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on August 21 and 22 at University College.

B.Com practical: The practical of the fourth semester B.Com. computer applications will be held on August 23 at the UIT Kollam, and at S.N. Technology, Vadakkevila; on September 5 at the UIT Alappuzha, and at Naipunya School of Managem ent, Cherthala; on September 6 at the UTI Pathanapuram and at the Mar Thoma College of Science and Technology, Ayoor; and on September 10 and 11 at the UIT Pirappancode.

Book fair: The Onam book fair organised by the Publications Division of the university will be on till September 17.
