Two arrested

Davangere: Assistant Commissioner of Harpanahalli Division Latha along with police raided an illegal mining area and seized two tractors and gelatin sticks at Gowdarahatti near Bevenahalli in Harpanahalli taluk on Tuesday. Following complaints of unauthorised blasting in different parts of the taluk, Ms. Latha decided to raid the place where mining was going on. Two persons were arrested. A case has been registered and a search is on to nab the other accused.– Staff Correspondent
