National seminar inaugurated

MALAPPURAM: Calicut University Vice-Chancellor Anwar Jahan Zuberi has called upon students to safeguard the nation’s interests while making use of the opportunities in the open market.

Inaugurating a national seminar on ‘Marketing in a flat world challenges and opportunities’ at MES Keveeyam College, Valanchery, on Tuesday, Ms. Zuberi reminded the students of the importance of being aware of the impact of globalisation on society.

Inaugurating the function, K.T. Jaleel, MLA, exhorted the youth to be vigilant against imperialist invasion in areas such as agriculture and retail trade. K. Hussain, principal, welcomed the gathering. The seminar, sponsored by the UGC, will end on Wednesday.
