Chinese official invites investment
HYDERABAD: Chinese companies are looking at Indian investors to set up shop in their country. As part of his exercise to showcase the facilities offered by his company, Wu Yunda, director of Jiaxing Economic and Technological Development Zone (JXEDZ), China, made a presentation to members of the CII here on Tuesday.
Mr. Yunda made case for China as the best investment destination saying that Indian software, IT and manufacturing companies could explore the possibilities in JXEDZ. The company was expecting a ‘significant investment’ from Indian manufacturing and software companies he said at a seminar on ‘Investment opportunities in JXEDZ’ organised by the CII. Mr. Yunda said that JXEDZ was the hub of foreign direct investment in China. Giving details, he said that 364 companies from 30 countries had invested over US $ 3 billion so far.
The total number of companies in Jiaxing was more than 1,000. Electronic goods, computer peripherals, automobile part, food processing and textiles were the main focus area in the EDZ, he pointed out.
