Trade unions plan agitation

KOCHI: A united action council of various trade unions will organise agitations against the alleged anti-worker policies pursued by the Union Government.

Hind Mazdoor Sabha (HMS) president Thampan Thomas said here on Tuesday that trade union leaders belonging to HMS, All India Trade Union Congress, Centre of Indian Trade Unions, United Trade Union Centre and Trade Union Centre of India met in New Delhi and prepared a charter of demands. Dharna, picketing and ‘jail bharo’ will be launched on December 4 and 5.
