Health workers on strike

NEW DELHI: Under the banner of All-India Central Government Health Scheme Employees’ Association, 40 employees of CGHS are sitting on a 75-hour hunger fast at Jantar Mantar here. They began the hunger strike on Monday.

The employees want to draw the Government’s attention towards the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry which “had failed to implement the various orders issued by it” and adopted a negative attitude towards the employees’ 11-point charter of demands.
