TDP chief interacts with farmers

Correspondent

VIZIANAGARAM: Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu during his last leg of roadshow in the district on Tuesday interacted with farmers and enquired about availability of seed and fertilizers, received memorandum from Mala Mahanadu cadre and addressed wayside meetings along the route from Bobbili via Therlam to Cheepurupalli.

The meetings were a reminiscence of election campaign. The roadshow which began at Jangalapalem on Monday afternoon ended in the wee hours on Tuesday at Bobbili. In spite of arriving behind schedule at every meeting, people waited patiently. He was accorded a warm welcome. During the meetings, he spoke on problems in each Assembly segment and criticised the government for its ‘inaction’. He spoke at length on corruption, land scams, swindling of public money in the name of irrigation projects, deaths due to lack of nutritious food in welfare hostels and viral fever in the agency region. He was cheered whenever he criticised ministers for their shady dealings. Party Polit Bureau member P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju and district president Y. Ramana Murty were also present.
