Principal suspended

Thiruvananthapuram: Jyothindra Kumar, Principal of the Government Dental College, has been suspended from service pending inquiry, a press release issued by the Health Minister’s office said here on Tuesday.
Dr. Jyothindra Kumar was suspended following the complaints received by the Chief Minister and the Vigilance Department about the alleged financial irregularities committed during his term as the Principal and Head of Orthodontics Department at the college.
Several students and teachers of the college had sent complaints to the Health Minister about the anomalies in certain administrative decisions taken by Dr. Jyothindra Kumar as the Principal, the press release said.
Health Special Secretary Usha Titus will be in charge of the inquiry.
