Arms recovered from Maoist

SANGAREDDY: Police arrested a Maoist near Doultabad on Monday and recovered unspecified number of single barrel guns, gelatin sticks and two landmines, each weighing around 10 kilograms.
According to police the arms supplier Mutyalu was found by the police who were on combing duty near a mobile phone tower. Mutyalu a native of Shankarampet was supposed to supply the arms to the action team working in the Doultabad area.
Karimnagar Staff Reporter adds: The Karimnagar district police have unearthed an arms dump of the Maoists naxalite group on the outskirts of Ramaiahpalli village in Manthani Mutharam mandal on Tuesday.
Police sources said that on credible information, the special police parties with the assistance of local police conducted the combing operations in the forests and unearthed the arms dump.
The police with the help of bomb squad recovered three landmines, five soap bombs, connecting wires and some detonators from the spot.
Each land mine was weighing around 8 to 10 kilograms.
