VISAKHAPATNAM: Krishna Murthy scored a century (106, 5x4, 2x6) in East Godavari’s first innings total of 323 for five declared against Srikakulam in a league match of ACA North Zone under-22 inter-District tournament at Srikakulam on Tuesday.
In the first round of league matches that concluded on Saturday, all the four teams received one point each, as even the first innings could not be completed due to rain. The scores: East Godavari 323 for five decl. in 82 overs (Krishna Murthy 106, Ajay Kumar 62 n.o., Venkatesh 45) vs. Srikakulam 27 for one in 12 overs. Visakhapatnam 194 in 53.4 overs (Abraham 76, Azgar Ali four for 45) vs. Vizianagaram 104 for six in 38 overs. Earlier matches: East Godavari 123 in 35.3 overs (P. Raghu 44, Atchuta Rao four for 35) and 120 in 45.4 overs (D. Siva Kumar five for 28) drew with Visakhapatnam 120 in 45 overs (Veera Babu four for 27) and 28 for no loss in five overs . Srikakulam 240 in 85.5 overs (Ch. Muralikrishna 56, K. Simhachalam 47, M.S. Deepak Kumar 46, Diwakar four for 84) and 27 for two drew with Vizianagaram 180 in 64 overs (S.S.S. Bahadur 61, Avinash Lalwani 44).
