CHENNAI: The ICL academy will once again buzz with activity for four days from Wednesday with the TNSRA Closed Satellite tournament, a PSA event. The event is fourth in the series with two more scheduled from September 26 to 29 and October 3 to 6. It is designed to help budding PSA players in the country garner points without having to travel. The major difference about this class of event as opposed to a Challenger (previously the lowest level of PSA tournament) is that it can only be run by national associations. The ranking points the Closed Satellite events provide help the leading the national players participate in overseas tournament without at times going through the qualifying phase. In the earlier three circuits of this event, Naresh Kumar was the winner in the first and Parth Sharma the runner-up. Harinder Pal Singh and Naresh Kumar finished in that order in the next and Parthiban and Parth Sharma were the top two in the third.
