Sen not misquoted: scribe
Sandeep Dikshit
NEW DELHI: The author of the news article in which Ronen Sen reportedly called parliamentarians “headless chicken” stood by his report.
Rediff India Abroad Managing Editor Aziz Haniffa, who had spoken to Mr. Sen and filed the report, said: “I unambiguously and unequivocally stand by my report and state categorically that nothing in it was deliberate, malicious or misunderstood or misquoted, because I have nothing but the highest respect for him.”
Replying to Mr. Sen’s charge that the conversation was off-the-record, Mr. Haniffa said at no point did Mr. Sen specify that the interaction should not be quoted.
