Court issues notices in L.LB admission case
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday issued notices to the Delhi Government, Amity Law School in Noida, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University here and the Bar Council of India on a petition by a candidate who had appeared in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted for admission to the LLB (Honours) course to colleges affiliated to the University.
Having failed to get admission under the general category, the petitioner, Samar Khan, had applied for admission under the management quota at Amity Law School.
He alleged that the Law School had ranked him in the wait-list for admission under the management quota below candidates who had performed worse than him in the CET and had obtained fewer marks in the Class XII Board examinations.
