Corrections and clarifications

* * The report “Congress stand on IAEA talks stays” (“News”, August 22, 2007) said Pranab Mukherjee is the Union Defence Minister. Mr. Mukherjee is the Minister of External Affairs, and Mr. A.K. Antony is the Minister of Defence. The error was in the earlier editions. (This is the fourth time in nine months this correction appears. The earlier ones were on December 13, 2006; February 7, 2007; and July 27, 2007.)

* * A photograph of Michael Vaughan as England captain was carried in a graphic “India vs. England” (“Sports”, August 21, 2007). It was wrong. Paul Collingwood is the captain for England’s one-day international side. The graphic, provided by KBK Infographics, was not used in the later editions.

* * In The Hindu Crossword 8997 (August 21, 2007), clue 19 Down, “19 Sailor in U.S. city’s vehicles (7)”, should have been “19 Sailors in U.S. city’s vehicles.”
