TIRUCHI: Unemployed youth, who wish to undergo special skill development training in Industrial Training Institutes, have been asked to contact the District Employment Officer on August 23 and 24. The free training programme will be provided for unemployed youth who have registered themselves with any of the employment exchanges in the State. The candidates should have passed SSLC/ Plus Two and aged below 40 years. For candidates belonging to Adi Dravidas and the Scheduled Tribes, the age limit will be 45 years, a press release from Collector Ashish Vachhani said. The training programmes will be conducted at the nearest government Industrial Training Institutes to the candidates’ place of residence. The training will be conducted between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Candidates, who complete the training, will be issued certificates. Joining the programme will not affect the seniority of registration with the employment offices. The candidates will also continue to get unemployment assistance, it added.
